Announcing AMC 8 Events!
Project MEGSSS, in cooperation with Maryville University, is proud to sponsor an Open AMC 8 Opportunity in the St. Louis region. This math contest from the Mathematical Association of America is a FUN event, but is also a serious math contest for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades (and below). It will be held on November 20, 2016 from 2 to 3 p.m.
We are also offering masterclasses will held on the three Sundays prior to the AMC 8 math competition: October 30, November 6, and November 13, 2016 from 2 to 4 p.m. Students will be screened and placed in the entry-level or advanced classes based on grade level and previous experience with competitions.
All events will take place at Maryville University in Town and Country, MO. Please note that your students can only take the AMC8 with one organization, so if they are participating through their school, they will not be able to take the test with Project MEGSSS. However, they would still be welcome to participate in the master classes.
